Can an inherited property count toward a Greek Golden Visa?

My family has a home in Greece that is worth more than 250,000 euros. I am set to inherit this property. How can I apply this property toward getting a Golden Visa? Can I arrange some kind of intra-family transfer? Can I buy it from my parents, who own it and do not have any Golden Visas for themselves, to keep it within our family finances?

Beneficiaries of the right of entry and the permanent resident permit for property owners, which shall be renewed every five years, include third-country citizens who are adults and who fully and legally own real estate property in Greece, the minimum objective (tax) value of which is 250,000. It can be acquired through intestate succession, will or parental concession. So in your case you could either proceed through a contractual purchase of the property or through the above mentioned options.

Please be aware that only by buying a property of value at least 250,000 euros may you apply for Golden Visa access. In any case, though, you will need to provide evidence for actual payment of the said amount.
