Can biometrics data be gathered abroad for Greek Golden Visa applicants?

I heard about Greece needing biometrics information for applicants, but can this be done at an embassy? If so, can I do it at any embassy? Do I have to give biometrics? Are there any alternatives?

Please be aware that there is an interview scheduled to the office where the application is made, so is obligatory to come for that purpose to the competent office in Greece. There are no other biometric tests applicable, apart from an obligatory medical insurance that needs to be made for the territory of Greece.

First, pick your favorite property options. Then open a Greek bank account and registering a Greek tax number. Due-diligence checks for your property options are carried out by a team of experts. The final property is chosen and purchased. An application for a Golden Visa is submitted and a temporary resident permit is issued. For the above you don't need to pay a visit. But the applicant needs to visit Greece for biometrics tests and collection of their temporary resident permit. After 20 days, a Golden Visa is issued.

On June 08, 2019 Mary Tsiganou answered:

The biometrics submission from the applicant is an obligatory step in the procedure of acquiring a Greek permanent resident permit for investors and has to take place only in Greece, with the presence of the applicant in front of the competent authorities. There is no alternative option for the time being.

Biometrics data is available in Greece, where you buy the property.
