How can I get Greek citizenship as a student?

I have been studying in Greece for six years since I was 16 years old. I’ve been holding a student visa and I can speak Greek. Is there anyway for me to apply for citizenship now or in the near future? What are the requirements?

Following to the Greek Citizenship Law, in principle, people who have attended a school that implements the Greek mandatory curriculum, and have a residence permit as yours, are eligible to apply for Greek citizenship by naturalization under specific conditions. The application can be submitted if you primarily fulfill one of the below prerequisites: after successfully concluding nine school years at the elementary and secondary education level, or after concluding six school years at the secondary education level, or when having graduated both from a Greek High School (Lykio) and a Greek University (ΑΕΙ or ΤΕΙ). For a more efficient and reliable approach, you should assign your case to an experienced legal advisor.

As a student, you can get residence for studies during your studies period. When your studies finish and you have at least seven years of legal residence, you can apply for Greek citizenship.
