How can I live in Italy while working remotely for a U.S. company?

I’m Italian but I have been living abroad for nearly two decades. Now thinking of going back to Italy while planning to continue working for my company in the US remotely while there. Which country will I have to pay taxes for; and can I take advantage of the lavoratori impatriati tax advantage in Italy?

The digital nomad and remote workers visa has not been implemented yet into Italian immigration system, hence for the time being this kind of visa is not a viable option to move and work remotely from Italy.
