How can I switch my visa status while in Canada?

I’m currently in Canada on a student visa. I also work in the field of data science and honestly am just not interested in finishing university because the program is a bit outdated so I would like to find work (I already work remotely with overseas companies). My question is, would I be able to change my student visa to a work visa without first graduating?

Yes you do, if you have a valid full time job offer that the employer applied for the lMIA as well. If yes, you can apply within Canada to change your status and receive a work permit.

Unlikely. You need a 'sponsor' employer, and they would need to meet the legal requirements to hire/sponsor you. There may be various nuances, but this is the most likely scenario.

Yes, you can switch your visa status in Canada without completing your university program. Options include applying for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), obtaining a work permit based on a job offer, exploring Express Entry or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) for permanent residency, or extending your study permit with part-time studies while seeking work. Consulting an immigration professional is advisable for personalized guidance.
