How can my son enjoy free college education in Europe if we get our Greek Golden Visas?

My son is attending high school in my home country and will go to college next fall. Our family is considering participating in the Greek Golden Visa program. I heard that many European countries offer free postsecondary education to EU citizens and residents. I would like to know if, as Greek permanent residents through the Golden Visa program, we could enjoy such benefits in Greece, as well as in other European countries. If so, which countries can we choose from?

The son can enjoy the programs. It also depends on each college policy and not the Greek Golden Visa.

According to Article 20 of Law 4251/2014, the holders of the resident permit and their family members have access in Greece to public and private education analogously to that of Greeks. Regarding the other European countries and their educational institutions, the rules and the related fees depend on each country’s policy and the related universities’ conditions and terms for European residents or citizens.

In Greece, the Golden Visa only allows the right to stay. Colleges are private and public education is paid.
