How would the coronavirus outbreak impact the processing of my Greek Golden Visa application?

I filed my application for a Greek Golden Visa six weeks ago. Given the outbreak of coronavirus in Europe, many government agencies are closing their offices temporarily. I would like to know how much the processing of my case will be delayed.

All immigration offices are closed until Oct. 4, 2020. This means that all procedures are postponed at least until that time.

On March 16, 2020 Vicky Veli answered:

Due to the serious situation of the coronavirus outbreak, the Greek government decided to suspend the operation of the immigration offices in Greece until the 10th of April 2020. If the coronavirus outbreak becomes worst during the following weeks, the Greek government will extend this period. If not, your application will be examined and your golden visa will be issued soon.

On March 16, 2020 Stilianos Proestakis answered:

It is a procedure with closed doors, in that case, your application will not be delayed.

On March 18, 2020 Mary Tsiganou answered:

All the Immigration Authorities of the country were suspended for 30 days beginning until Oct. 4, 2020 due to the serious coronavirus outbreak, for public health protection measurements. If the situation will become worse within the next weeks, the Greek government will examine to extend the above period. But since you have already submitted your application and your fingerprints data was implemented you should have already received the temporary residence permit and your permanent one is in process. So your application process won't be affected by the temporary suspension of the authorities.

I don't believe anyone at this moment may reply with certainty about the schedule on this. So you will need to be patient on this for official updates in the future.

On May 26, 2020 Alexander Varnavas answered:

It is true that the coronavirus outbreak affected many areas in the private and public sector. Among them are the Immigration offices throughout Greece that have suspended operations until further notice. However, the Greek government has reacted fast and has introduced new measures to ensure the smooth processing of the Golden Visa applications via proxy service or courier service. Your lawyer should be able to provide additional information on how to proceed.
