How can someone with a DUI enter Panama without any issues?

We are U.S. citizens and are going to Panama soon. My spouse has had two DUIs. Is there going to be any issues when going through immigration? How can we be prepared?

Although DUI matters are shown in the regular FBI reports, as misdemeanors it is not an impediment to entering the country.

Given that a DUI is classified as a misdemeanor in Panama, it should not pose a significant obstacle to your residency application. Nevertheless, we recommend that your husband seeks pre-approval or clearance for this matter before submitting the residency application. With a pre-approval stamp, the DUI should not be an impediment to the application process.
