What language requirements do foreign investors have to meet to become eligible for golden visas in Greece?

I'm from the UK and I don't know any other language apart from English. I'm looking to retire and buy a home in Greece. Would it be possible for me to do so even though I don't know Greek? How can I do the legal process in English?

There is no language requirement for the golden visa scheme in Greece; you must assign your case to a lawyer for the filling of your application.

Knowing the Greek language is not a requirement to get the golden visa.

Even if you were a Greek citizen, the legal process for property acquisition which involves tile deeds and technical due diligence is subject to legal advice and services. Moreover, the contract details and provisions should be addressed to an expert on legal issues and process. Additionally, in cases where the client does not speak Greek, the notarial signature of the contract requires official interpretation of one's own language. In most cases, foreigners who reside outside of Greece implement the process through a Power of Attorney to a legal representative, or a proxy who is in Greece, to facilitate the process.

You can proceed with all transactions without knowing the Greek language after providing a Power of Attorney to a lawyer who will handle all documentation and legal actions on your behalf and do relevant translation whenever it is needed.
