So far, it is unknown what the exact final changes will be or even if there will be any changes at all. Successful golden visa applicants do not yet have citizenship, so it can't be revoked. Losing citizenship is foreseen in the citizenship law and is possible only in extreme cases, such as terrorist activities and crime against the state or if the documents upon which citizenship has been granted are proven to be falsified etc.

Would the citizenship status of successful golden visa applicants get revoked now that the Bulgarian parliament has decided to shut down the program? Is there anything the applicants can do to avoid losing their citizenship?
