Investors do not have the right to work in Luxembourg. If one wishes to work in the country, he or she needs to replace the investor resident permit with an employment resident permit.

Do I have to live in Luxembourg to qualify for citizenship?
A resident permit holder can lose his or her status if absent from the country for more than 183 days per twelve-month period. To qualify for citizenship, the applicant must have a registered address in Luxembourg and maintain for at least five years.
