As a German citizen with a business in the U.K., do I have to leave the country after Brexit?

I am a German citizen running my own business in London. Since the deadline for Brexit has been extended, I am keeping the business open. However, if Brexit happens in the near future, will I lose my eligibility to work in the U.K.? Will I be forced to close my business and leave the country? What should I do now to prevent the worst-case scenario from happening?

The U.K. and EU have agreed that any person from within the EU and their family members do not have to leave the EU when the U.K. eventually departs the EU. This means you can carry on with your business. You will have to register with the Home Office online, which is very simple process to do. The registration is free and you have plenty of time to register.
