What are the criminal record requirements when applying for Portugal's Golden Visa?

I am an expat, having worked in 5 countries in the last 22 years (and lived in them more than one year) Do I need to have a criminal record from each of these countries? And does it need to be valid for 3 months?

It is mandatory for you to present the criminal record from your country of origin, as well as from all the countries where you have resided for more than one year (after your 16th birthday), when applying for a Golden Visa. In this sense, since you have lived in 5 different countries, the criminal record of the 5 countries would be necessary.

The main applicant is required to present the criminal record from the residency country, which must be legalized/apostilled and translated into Portuguese, and will be valid for 90 days after being issued by the authorities.

You do not have to provide background checks of all the countries where you have lived in. The PT authorities will require the criminal record of the country where you are residing for more than 1 year now. That criminal record must be valid for 90 days, and be legalized and translated into Portuguese.

One can only apply for a Golden Visa if, in their country of origin or residence for over 1 (one) year, they are not convicted of a crime which in Portugal’s legal framework would have a one-year minimum imprisonment sentence. The criminal record to be gathered to your file must be issued within the 3 (three) prior months to your application date, duly translated to Portuguese and legalized by the Portuguese authorities.
