How can my family members from South Africa move to the Netherlands?

I have a family member that has South African nationality who is currently working in the Bahamas. What can she do to be able to come and live in the Netherlands with me who has Dutch nationality?

This depends on the definition of "family member". The immigration options on the basis of family reunification extend to married or unmarried partners and minor children. As the sponsor, you will need to meet certain income requirements. If the family member is your partner or spouse, he or she will have to pass the Dutch civic integration exam abroad before qualifying for an MVV (immigration visa). Residencies of family members other than spouses, partners or minor children is only possible under exceptional, individual circumstances. As you are a Dutch national, you should check the many sources of information available on this topic in Dutch.
