How can I start a business in Turkey after becoming a citizen through its CBI program?

Am I eligible to open businesses in Turkey as soon as I become a citizen through its citizenship-by-investment program, or do I have to wait for a while before I am eligible?

Setting up a business is not related to being a Turkish citizen or not. So, you can even start a business now and then you can update the owner information after you granted citizenship. The procedure is the same to set up a company for Turkish and foreigners.

You don’t have to wait to start a business. Also, it’s not an obligation to become a Turkish citizen to setting up a business. Every foreigner can set up a business or can become a shareholder in companies in Turkey.

You don't need to wait for a while to open a business. Also If you will become a citizen by investment program, you can also start a business before you get citizenship.

You do not have to become Turkish citizenship in order to open a business in Turkey. You can at the same open business in Turkey and, say, acquire a property with a value of $250,000 for becoming a citizen.

Once you become a Turkish citizen through the CBI program, you will have all the rights and can immediately start a business or be employed at one. Please also note that citizenship (not even residence permits) is not required to open up businesses through 'capital' companies. Foreign investors are permitted to incorporate and/or become shareholders to capital companies.

You do not have to be a Turkish citizen to start a company in Turkey. You can be the only shareholder of a Turkish company as a foreigner too.

There is no legally prohibited to be a Turkish citizen to establish a business in Turkey. You can set up a business in Turkey as a foreign person and of course, you can be a partner in companies. If you are going to establish a business by making a capital investment and the investment is over $ 500,000 and provides the minimum legal requirements; you can apply for citizenship through this investment by establishing a business with this investment.
