The new Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) is a temporary work visa being introduced on 4 July 2022 by New Zealand. The employer must be accredited to hire migrant workers on an AEWV. There are 3 steps to hiring a migrant on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). These are (1) accreditation, (2) the jobcheck, and (3) the AEWV application. If the employer cannot find suitable New Zealanders for a role, employer can apply to hire migrants on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). All employers must meet a minimum set of accreditation requirements, including being a viable and genuinely operating business and also being compliant with employment, immigration and business regulatory standards. The job check must confirm that the job pays the market rate and meets wage thresholds applicable under the relevant job check pathway. Also the job’s terms and conditions must comply with New Zealand employment laws and standards. If the job passes the job check, the migrant worker can apply for a visa. The estimated processing timeframe for standard and high-volume accreditation is 10 working days. AEWV accreditation applications will be available online only. Applications open 23 May 2022. The employer can apply for accreditation from 23 May 2022 and for a job check from 20 June 2022. The AEWV will not be available until 4 July 2022.

The new AEWV takes a 3-step check approach: - Employer accreditation - Job check - Applicant check The new AEWV replaces all previous 6 work visas. You will need to find an AE to hire you first, or we can help match your skills and experience with an AE who is hiring. Timeline: From 23 May - AE application starts From 04 July - AEWV application starts

I suggest two things - find a suitable employer from NZ and get an adviser.
