The processing time stated under the CBI Act is 60 days. Grenada's CBI Unit has been very efficient on the front end of the processing of applications during this time as applications are now filed online. The processing time for an application is now 90 to 180 days. The time depends on the footprint of the applicants for the purposes of due diligence. COVID 19 has affected the ability to conduct due diligence quickly given the number of countries that are or were on "lockdown".

Based on current experience, the process is still maintaining a 90-working-day turnaround. The due diligence providers are still working on their schedule. The main areas of delay tend more to be with the clients and getting the necessary information from their local authorities but because the unit is now accepting online submissions and both the police certificate and medical certificate validity have been increased, the unit appears to be processing on time.

The Grenada Immigration authorities have not been impacted by the COVID-19 situation. It takes approximately 90 to 120 days to process an application. All things being equal and all due diligence reports being satisfactory, the time can be less.
