How can I get resident permits for my family when I move to Greece?

I'm an Israeli citizen and I have gotten a job offer in Athens, Greece. The employer arranged all the required visas and documents but I'm married and I also want to bring my family with me. How can I get the necessary visa for my family?

You must ask for visa for family reunion. Your wife and children will be accepted if you prove that you have the adequate financial means to live in Greece.

The procedure and the timeline of residence permits for family members depend on the kind of residence permit held by the main residence permit holder. If the main applicant's residence permit is for employment, then after two years of holding this valid residence permit, as well as meeting additional conditions such as lease for the residence, sufficient income etc., family members can be invited to Greece as per the family reunification provisions. If the main applicant's residence permit is for special purpose employees, then family members can be invited only after the main applicant gets permanent residence.
