What advantages are there for Hong Kongers if they apply for immigration via investment in Australia?

I've heard the Australian government is now putting applications of Hong Kongers on a fast track. Would this apply to any type of visa or is it only for those who apply for the Global Talent visa?

The fast track in the global talent visa. With that being said, the business visa is already on a fast-track regime by default as long as the actions meet visa requirements in a timely manner.

The Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Settlement Services has announced that processing priority will be given to Hong Kong and BNO passport holders applying for temporary and permanent skilled visas ahead of other cohorts. The Australian government also announced it would prioritize Global Talent visa applications received from Hong Kongers and that a talent officer would focus on facilitating the Hong Kong caseload. Since announcing that they will prioritize investor applications from Hong Kong residents, the processing times have dropped to six months from up to two years. Students are also eligible for a five-year graduate visa from the conclusion of their studies, with a pathway to permanent residency at the end of that period.

Hong Kong applicants, in addition to the preferences given to them under the Global Talent Visas, would also get preference under the Subclass 188 -- Business Innovation and Investment visas. Although the exact modalities are unknown, the government has made it clear that investment visas will be administered to attract export-oriented Hong Kong-based businesses to relocate to Australia. Therefore, if you are looking to relocate to Australia, and meet the eligibility criteria for the investment visa, you must apply at the earliest to avail the opportunity.
