Can I found a company and become its chief executive to work in Greece?

I recently completed my Golden Visa process through buying a home in Athens. However, I wish to work in this country. I know I can do that as a chief executive of a company. Can I start one as Golden Visa holder and hire locals? Where do I begin?

You have the possibility to create your own company. First of all, you have to contact a law firm who will assist you in composing the articles of association. Then find an office and an accountant.

You need a business plan containing your business goals, the methods on how these goals can be attained, and the time frame within which these goals need to be achieved. Select the nature of your business, gather the background information on the organization you are about to establish here in Greece, the organization's financial projections, and the strategies to achieve the stated targets. In fewer words, you have to create a road map that provides direction to your business as a chief executive of your company.

According to the legal provisions in force, as resident permit holders, you don’t have access to employment but you could proceed to the exercise of economic activity under the roles of shareholder, executive chief officer or BOD member of an already existing company. First of all, you have to contact a law firm and an accountant who will assist you to your endeavor.
