Can I work freely in the U.S. if I get my permanent residency status in Canada through the PNP program?

I have a Canadian citizen friend who is currently working in the U.S. According to him, there are fewer restrictions for people from Canada to get work permits in the U.S. than people from other countries. He told me that he did not go through much trouble with the immigration department of the U.S. to get a work permit. I wonder if such benefits apply to permanent residents who relocate to Canada through one of the provincial nominee programs?

The United States has a separate immigration system from Canada’s and you must get a U.S. work permit in order to be authorized to work in the U.S. Different conditions apply depending on the work permit you require. Canadian citizens can benefit from a wider number of U.S. work permit options under the treaties signed by the two countries. These options are not open to Canadian permanent residents. Before you take any steps about working in the U.S, it is better for you to talk to an immigration professional to identify which option best suits you.

No, as you are only a permanent resident.
