How can I switch investment routes and keep my citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis?

I obtained St. Kitts and Nevis’ citizenship through its CBI program last year by investing $400,000 in a real estate project. I understand that I must maintain the investment for five years. Recently, I have a family emergency and I need to liquidate my assets. Is it possible to pull back the $400,000 from the project, and switch to the donation option of its program which only requires $150,000? I don’t want to jeopardize my citizenship.

Once you have already obtained citizenship you cannot switch because you have already obtained the citizenship. If you had not yet completed the application and obtained citizenship, then you could have switched to the donation option.

At the moment there is no procedure for switching programs after completion of the citizenship process.
