How many days must you reside in Canada if you are participating in the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program?

We are interested in participating in the QIIP because we would like our daughter to receive a Western education. I own a company in Shanghai and would like to maintain ownership of the company. To do so I would need to travel frequently to China and might be in China as much as I would be in Canada. Is there a minimum number of days that I would have to be in Canada to participate in the program? How long do I need to be a resident to become a citizen?

Once you become a permanent resident of Canada, you must stay in the country for a minimum of 730 days in the following five-year period in order to retain your status. Therefore, you could still continue being a PR of Canada even if you have to go back to Shanghai from time to time to continue managing your business. You can apply for citizenship after having spent 1,095 days in Canada in a five-year period.
