When can my parents join me if I apply for the Greek Golden Visa program?

I want to apply for the Greek Golden Visa program and live in Greece with my family. I know I can only include my child in my application during the application stage, but what about my parents? Can I add them as well?

Parents are considered to be family members according to the provision of the Law 4251/2014. Thus, they are entitled to get a residency permit, which will expire the same time your residency permit expires. You will need official documents from your country proving that they are your parents (i.e., your birth certificate) and have them legally validated. Your parents will also need the common documents in order to apply (i.e., insurance policy, health certificate) and they also need to hold a valid visa (the Schengen visa is enough).

According the provisions of the law in force, third-country citizens, granted for a permanent residency permit for property owners, can be accompanied by their family members, who will be granted the residence permit privileges too. These family members are considered: spouses, direct descendants of spouses who are under the age of 21, and direct relatives of spouses in the ascending line. Family members could either submit their application for initial residency permit simultaneously with the investor, or they have the option to submit it subsequently, whenever they enter the country. The family members are granted a residency permit of the same duration as the applicant. Family members have the same obligation pertaining to the collection of biometrics data. The requirement to provide their fingerprints applies to all third-country nationals over 6 years old, and the digital signature requirement applies to all citizens over the age of 12. The relationship of every family member with the investor should be proved through the related official document (e.g. birth certificate, marriage certificate, family status certificate).

The Golden Visa law provides that you can include all your immediate family members in your application. This means that you can include your spouse, your children, your spouse’s children, your parents and even your parents-in-law. However, you can not include any siblings. Therefore all your family members, including your parents, can join you and you can all apply at the same time.
