How may I supply supporting documents requested for my Malta IIP visa application?

I will file my initial application through an authorized Malta agent. If I need to provide supporting documents, which I anticipate I will need to do for proof of source of funds, what is the process and timeline?

This is quite possible by simply requesting a meeting with MRVA officials. It is strongly suggested that you submit the additional comments by means of an index clearly outlining what documents are being submitted.

The application documents will include IIP forms as well as the required certificates, declarations and other ancillary documentation. All documentation is handled through the accredited agent, who will then file submit the client’s application to the respective authority (MIIPA). The client will be guided with everything that is required, from filling out the necessary forms to the provision of specific documentation. Really and truly, the timeframe for collation of documentation will depend on the availability of certain documents (original certificates, police conduct, proof of source of wealth/funds, etc.) from the client’s country of origin and any other relevant jurisdictions (as applicable). The first step would be the residence stage, which will take approximately three months in total. The next step would be the due-diligence stage, which is undertaken by MIIPA. Once the authorities have the complete application pack in hand, their enhanced due-diligence process will take approximately 12 months to be completed.
