What are the requirements to apply for a Portuguese Golden Visa through a company?

My wife and I own a small business in our home country. We want to participate in the Golden Visa program of Portugal through a real estate investment. I understand that it is also possible to apply through a company. What are the requirements? Can my wife and I apply together, both as principal applicants? If I apply as the principal applicant and my wife as my dependent, does she need to transfer her shares of the company under my name?

First of all, we would like to inform you that all the investments that are constituent elements to apply to the Golden Visa program of Portugal must be made in Portugal. Thereafter, it is important to clarify that all the investments can be performed individually, but it can also be performed through a one-man limited liability undertaking company that must be based in Portugal (or in a member-state of the European Union, provided that it is based in Portugal). Therefore, we inform you that, unfortunately, it won’t be possible to apply to the Golden Visa program of Portugal through a small business in your home country, owned by you and your wife. However, we would like to report you that are a set of other possibilities for the application.
