What do I need to do if I change my permanent residence in Cyprus to not risk my chance of getting a passport?

I understand that to be eligible for a Cyprus passport, an investor needs to maintain a residency in Cyprus permanently. If I want to move to another area in Cyprus, switching my permanent residency, how do I report that to the authorities? What is the process?

With regards to acquiring tax residence status, the applicant needs to live at least six months per year in Cyprus or be able to comply with the 60 days tax residency regime. Furthermore, the applicant will need to apply for a residency and/or work permit with immigration authorities, the relevant procedures imposing different financial conditions depending on whether the applicant is or not an EU citizen. These procedures do not forbid the applicant from switching residences in Cyprus as long as he can prove it, it is suggested to report it to the authorities. With regards to acquiring Cyprus citizenship, the applicant must be working continuously in Cyprus for at least seven years or have the financial possibility to apply to the Cyprus Investment Program that includes short-term obtention of EU Cyprus citizenship/passport (and includes obtaining permanent residency before citizenship).

No, you do not run a risk but you will need to report the change of your residency to the authority examining your application.

If you have a permanent residence in Cyprus, this is maintained irrespective of which city in Cyprus you are living in. The procedure of changing your address to the authorities will depend on the way you have obtained your residency.

For any change you intend to do in relation to your Cyprus citizenship application, the responsible ministries need to be contacted and approved prior of any change.

You need to inform the Civil Registry and Migration Department for the change of your address. Once you do that and you still live in Cyprus, there is no risk for your future passport application.
