The Qualified Investor Visa's most popular eligibility option is for a minimum $500,000 effective investment in real estate in Panama, which had a promotional minimum investment amount of $300,000 until October 2022, yet extended recently for an additional 24 months period. This option is available for the main applicant and the close relatives such as legal spouse and children.
An applicant may be considered a “qualified investor” when he or she invests: (1) USD 300k in real estate; (2) USD 500k in the Panamanian stock market; (3) USD 750k in a fix-term deposit at a local bank, for a minimum of five years.
