If my son becomes a Cyprus citizen, does he have to serve in the military?
My son is 17 and he is a student in a Cyprus University. After finishing, he will be an applicant to citizenship of Cyprus, as he will have lived more then 7 years in Cyprus. If he receives the citizenship, is the army service obligatory for him? His parents are not Cypriots, and he is living with his mother who will also apply for citizenship.
