How can I gain permanent residency in Australia with the help of the expected launch of the trans-Tasman bubble in April?

I'm an investor with business interests in the tourism industry who would like to gain permanent residency in Australia. Does the upcoming trans-Tasman bubble offer any opportunities to foreign investors?

Depending on the right business plan study, you would initiate your migration in one location. Then, setting up the right businesses, you will be able to select which migration pathway will suit you best. This is one of the scenarios to act rather than enquire. Try to consult a few migration lawyers or registered migration agents, find one that suits you, then have them work with you on your business case to achieve your goals and submit the relevant application for you in the desired region and manner.

There are no New Zealand options that offer direct permanent residency in Australia, but you can obtain similar benefits, including work rights in Australia by entering Australia as a New Zealand citizen. Obtaining residence (or permanent residence) in New Zealand provides no additional benefits when accessing Australia. As an Investor, you will find New Zealand's investor program to be more flexible than than the Australian program, although the entry sums are higher than Australia. The Investor 2 starts at 3 million New Zealand dollars (although this can be reduced to NZ$2.5m), and you can invest in a wide range of options in New Zealand, including business investments. Compared to the 188 Investor, also known as 188b, in Australia, which requires $1.5 million Australian dollars to be invested in government bonds, although this may change in coming weeks. If you wish to use this pathway to gain access to Australia then you would need to wait at least 5 years with considerable time spent in New Zealand during this period to obtain New Zealand citizenship, which will allow access to live and work in Australia. If your goal is Australia then you're likely better off applying directly to Australia.

The Trans-Tasman bubble refers to the opening of an exclusive travel “corridor” between New Zealand and Australia for residents of both nations. If you are an investor looking for investments that rely on international visitors, exports or imports with Australia, tourism industry, commercial property development, etc, then the Trans-Tasman bubble would help support your investment.
