How can I make sure my home country is not informed about my potential Vanuatu citizenship?

My home country doesn’t allow dual nationality but they don’t actively check if I acquired another nationality as long as I don’t use it in an airport in my home country. My question is, if I apply and acquire Vanuatu citizenship, would there be any chance they inform my home country embassy? Is there an “automatic” process that involves such communication between two countries?

Vanuatu - unlike Malta - does not publish the name of its new citizens. Thousands of people from China, India and other countries have been naturalised in the last years and no identity of any new citizen was revealed by the authorities.
