How much time do I have before Turkey increases its citizenship by investment threshold?

I'm planning to apply for Turkish citizenship next year but I heard the amount might increase to $600,000. I already found a place for $450,000 and am about to finalize the sale for it. Would I have enough time to apply within the first 2-3 months of 2024 with only $400,000?

The minimum real estate investment amount for acquisition of Turkish citizenship by investment is $400,000. Media reports that this minimum amount will be raised to $600,000 are currently just rumors. This information has not yet been confirmed by any official authority. If new legislation is introduced, it will also specify when it will be implemented. Accordingly, you may benefit from a transition period during which you can benefit from the old regulation.

There is no change yet announced. There are some rumors that it may be increased to $600k. We do not expect such change to happen instantly by new year and a garden period to be provided at least for 2-3 months. However, there is no guarantee. It may be wise to wait the new year, and see if there is any announcement. If not, consideration can be given once more on whether to proceed with the $400k option accordingly.
