When will the 30-day residency requirement take place?
I am learning that all five major Caribbean CBI programs will start requiring a mandatory continous 30-day residency in the country where the citizenship is obtained. Is this true? If so, how will it work?

The St Kitts and Nevis government is adopting a mandatory 30‑day residency requirement for future CBI recipients. The law is expected to pass soon, and those who obtain citizenship thereafter will need to physically visit SKN for at least 30 days within five years of being naturalized, with verification and penalties outlined in the implementing law. Once the government issues the date of this we will be sure to let you know.

This is currently only a proposal and no details have been decided.

There has been no conclusion reached as to the residency requirements. This information has been gleamed from a proposed document that will eventually form the foundation of a Caribbean committee which will provide oversight to all Caribbean CBI programs. The 30 days was proposed over a five year period but it is not yet law.
