When can dependents on a Global Talent Visa application enter Australia?

If the 858 Global Talent Visa is approved and the visa letter is issued by the Australian government to facilitate first entry, can the dependents go and enter first, before the principal applicant? What kind of documentation would they need to provide?

Generally, there are no conditions attached to Global Talent (subclass 858) visa. You need to check your dependent’s visa grant notice whether a discretionary condition 8502 – ‘not arrive before person specified in visa’ is imposed. If condition 8502 is imposed, the dependent visa holder must not enter Australia before the main visa holder has entered Australia.

Unless there is a condition 8502 attached ("Must not enter Australia before specified person") which prevents the secondary visa holder travelling before the primary visa holder has entered Australia, then there is no issue with the secondary visa holder travelling independently to Australia before the primary visa holder. If condition 8502 is attached to the visa, then the visa holder must enter Australia with, at the same time as, or later than the primary visa holder.
