The digital nomad visa was introduced in Italian immigration law in 2022; however, it has not been activated yet since we are still expecting the implementation decree to be approved by the Italian authorities, which will set, among other aspects, the income requirements. As of now, specific and detailed eligibility criteria are not known yet, even though there are rumors that its official implementation will come into force very soon.
