Can I give biometrics data at a Portuguese consulate?

I am interested in the Portuguese program but am unsure if I can make it to the country for my biometrics on time. Are there alternative sites to complete that process, such as a Portuguese consulate?

Yes, you can provide the biometric data in any Portuguese consulate. The information we have is that the Portuguese consulates are taking several months to schedule this procedure. The Portuguese government recently said it is taking steps to overcome this problem of delay.

Unfortunately the biometric data can only be collected in Portugal, in one of SEF’s (Portuguese Immigration Entity) offices. Therefore, it is not possible to collect biometric data in a Portuguese consulate/or embassy.
