Can my business partner and I enjoy the immigration benefits of self-employment visas if we jointly set up a business in Germany?

My business partner and I are planning to set up a company in Berlin. Are both of us eligible for the self-employment visa? Should the business meet any special requirements since it is supporting two applicants?

It is possible to set up a new business in Germany and to apply for self-employment visas according to the § 21 residence act. Depending on the size of the company and the expected revenue, we also advise some of our clients in applying for self-employment visa and the other one for the EU blue card.
