Is there a list of banned countries whose citizens cannot apply for the Greek Golden Visa

I am from Iran and am interested in purchasing property in Athens for the visa program. However, some countries do not allow Iranian applicants. Does Greece? Are there any other countries that Greece rejects?

Please be advised that there are no nationality restrictions in the Greek residency program. The only eligibility requirements to participate to the program for a third-country citizen are to be older than 18 years and to invest in property at least 250,000 euros.

Everyone is welcome in Greece. There are no banned countries. Transparent documents and willingness for investment are the real conditions.

There is no such restriction. Greece allows to every non-EU citizen to apply with the Golden Visa program. In order to apply, though, you must be a holder of a Schengen visa (type C) or a Greek national visa (type D). For this purpose, you have to apply for the visa to the Greek embassy in Tehran.
