How is the privacy of MIIP applicants protected?

I am worried about my privacy in the MIIP due diligence process. I was told that if approved, the name of the main applicant will be published to Maltese citizens. Is the disclosure of the approved applicants a must in the process? Other than names, what other information about the applicant will be published and where?

Personal Data will be disclosed to the agency's employees and other relevant stakeholders as indicated in LN47 of 2014. Disclosure can also be made to third parties but only as authorized by law. The Minister will every year publish in the Gazette the names of all persons who during the previous twelve calendar months were granted Maltese citizenship by registration or naturalization, including those persons who were granted Maltese citizenship under the program.

The name of the main applicant and all his family members who obtain Maltese citizenship will be published at the Government Gazette together with names of other persons who get Maltese citizenship by another reason (marriage, adoptions etc.). The publication will be done one time at the end of December of the following year after obtaining citizenship.
