How long does it take currently to get citizenship of Cyprus through its CBI program?

Recently I read news that the yearly cap of Cyprus citizenship has been reached and there is no availability until 2021. Is it true? If I file my application this month, when can I expect to get citizenship?

In practice, it takes about 10 months. I have not read anything official about the 2021 issue. This must be based on rumors.

It now takes more than ten months for the application to be approved. Therefore, if you presently file your citizenship application, this will be approved sometime in the autumn of 2020.

It takes 10 to 12 months for the application to be completed. There is no official announcement to us from the ministry that we cannot submit any further applications for 2020, hence the information you have is not valid.
