Grenada's status as an E-2 treaty country has not changed. There has been legislation put through the United States government which would require a period of domicile for three years before being eligible to apply. However, we are advised that it could take up to 18 months for that legislation to be put into practice, and we currently have clients that are submitting their E-2 applications through US immigration lawyers and indeed have been approved in recent months. We are actively seeking clarification on the domicile period, as well as what practically defines domicile in a country and hope to get some clarity on this in the coming months.
