What are the minimum requirements on health insurance policies for a Greek Golden Visa applicant?

I understand that upon application, I have to prove that I have health insurance that covers medical care expenses. But insurance plans differ. What are the minimum requirements?

I advise getting in touch with an insurance company based in Greece for that. Cost is very little (less than 200 euros) per year and local insurance companies know what kind of coverage is needed. It is the minimum, really.

Medical insurance is very cheap and covers hospitalization to public hospitals only. It may cost 150 euros per year until you are 75 years old. We use to buy on behalf of our clients.

Yes you are right. One of the required documents upon application is certification by an insurance agency for the cost of hospitalization and medical care. To certify that this condition is fulfilled, the following are accepted: insurance contracts which have been signed outside Greece, provided that they explicitly mention that they cover the interested party for the duration of their stay in Greece; insurance contracts which have been signed in Greece. There are also minimum covered risks and insurance amounts.

Trust me, this is the easiest part of the whole process. In Greece, with just 200 euros (per year), you may have the insurance that you need from a decent insurance company.
