What are the rates for due diligence fee for applicants of MIIP?

My agents are charging me more than 20,000 euros for a so-called due diligence fee for my family’s MIIP application. This seems a lot. What are the standard rates for due diligence?

    The Due Diligence Fees are 7,500 euros for the main application, 5,000 euros for the spouse, 3,000 euros for each child under 18, 5,000 euros for each unmarried child between 18 and 26, and 5,000 euros for each dependent parent or grandparent over 55. You will receive a payment request voucher for these fees from the Malta Individual Investor Agency. In this voucher will include passport and bank fees.

    The due diligence fees charged under the Malta Individual Investor Programme are as follows: 7,500 euros for the main applicant; 5,000 euros for the spouse; 3,000 euros for each and every child between 13 and 18 years of age; 5,000 euros for each and every dependant unmarried child between 18 and 26 years of age; 5,000 euros for each and every dependant parent above 55 years of age.
