What visa options work best for foreign investors who want to launch their own business in Turkey?

I'm interested in not just gaining residency in Turkey but I also want to launch my own business. What option would work best for me? Would I have to include a Turkish business partner or can I operate my own business as a foreigner independently?

There are no specifically tailored visas that would offer long-term, business-related stay. You may check visa options at: https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ and https://www.mfa.gov.tr/general-information-about-turkish-visas.en.mfa. You do not need to have Turkish partners to incorporate businesses in Turkey. Foreigners are permitted to open almost any types of business. However, business investments do not offer an immigration status immediately, although work permit is an option and you may check details at: https://www.invest.gov.tr/en/investmentguide/pages/obtaining-a-work-permit.aspx. You may check for CBI options at: https://www.invest.gov.tr/en/investmentguide/pages/acquiring-property-and-citizenship.aspx Please note that the straightforward model would be a property investment for obtaining citizenship and then moving on for business investments as a citizen.

You can own your own company as an investor independently. You don't need a Turkish partner. If you issue a power of attorney then one can set up a company remotely without your presence, and then you can apply for a business visa from the Turkish embassy/consulate in the country you live.
