How can I change properties and also meet the 5-year hold period condition on real estate when applying for CBI in Dominica?

I'm an investor who has bought a property in Dominica for real estate purposes. But after living for three years in the property I used for my CBI application, I want to buy and move to another better property. Can I do that or will I have to wait out the 5-year holding period on my first property before selling it?

In Dominica, you cannot purchase your own property under the CBI program and acquire citizenship. You also can't live in the one in which you invest for three years as it's not a full ownership you acquire but a share interests similar to the U.S. timeshare arrangement. So, the enquirer has it wrong but having an appreciation for what we think the enquirer wants to know is whether I can switch from one property to another after I have acquired citizenship. The simple answer is no. You can switch from one development project to another prior to the approval of your application under the program but not after.
