What is the status of the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program?

I recently heard that the Quebec authorities stopped accepting applications for the QIIP. When will the Quebec authorities accept new applications again? Is there a possibility that the program might not continue? We are interested in participating in the program, but I need another eight months of managerial experience before we can become eligible. What are our options?

Quebec authorities have recently announced the net assets requirement are going up from 1.6M to 2M and the investment requirement from 800k to 1.2M. They should be taking new applications in August 2018.

On March 28th 2018, the Quebec Government has published a draft regulation and information concerning the changes to the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program. Firstly, the QIIP program will be suspended until August 15th 2018 and, if everything goes to plan, will re-open shortly after this date. Once again, the program is expected to re-open and accept a limited number of applications (around 1900 worldwide): Once the new intake of the program is announced, the conditions should be as follows: (1) have experience in management; (2) have, alone or with the accompanying spouse or de facto spouse, net assets of at least $2,000,000 whose lawful origin must be demonstrated. (3) make a 5-year term investment of $1,200,000 (which can be financed by a financial intermediary) Therefore, should you be interested in applying, we suggest that you send basic information about your case in order for us to verify if you could apply and obtain a quota from one of the financial intermediary authorized to participate in the program. If so, we could then wait the remaining few months until you qualify under the management experience criteria and then officially submit your file.
