The RBI permit for the Netherlands is initially valid for 3 years Extension of the permit would not be allowed in case: The minimum investment has been withdrawn; the Netherlands Enterprise Agency does not or no longer deem the investment to be of added value for the Dutch economy; the holder of the permit has been involved transactions deemed as 'suspicious' by the Financial Intelligence Unit-Netherlands. If none of these situations apply, the permit can be extended. After the fifth year of residence, the Dutch nationality can be applied for. An additional requirement is that the applicant has passed the Dutch integration exam.
