How can I take my investment funds out before the end of the five-year period of New Zealand's investor two visa process?

I want to invest in a business proposition in New Zealand that likely will not need money until three to four years into my required five-year period. Because the business is in New Zealand, I was thinking it might be an option.

The investor II category requires your funds to be retained in the acceptable investments in NZ for four years, not five years. You may change your investment subject to INZ approval, but if you withdraw funds within the four-year investment period, you will breach your resident visa condition and become liable for deportation.
