Thank you for your question. I think Texas is an excellent market for student housing. I would recommend that you speak with Presidium. They have been very successful and are good people. They also have existing international investors, including investors from China. If you contact me directly via my profile, I will be happy to introduce you to the Co-CEO of Presidium, Mr. John Griggs.
What are the markets to watch for student housing development in the U.S.?
We recently completed a successful student housing investment in Australia, and want to profit from the asset class’s upward trajectory in the U.S. We’ve talked with developers in New York and Los Angeles. We are open to ground-up construction or purchase of existing assets. What other cities are seeing a strong student housing market?
For markets to watch for in the student housing development market in the U.S., there are many resources you can turn to: university and college associations, the U.S. list populations with the country of origin when available, large housing brokers association publications, market studies conducted by universities based in their development plans and some foreign embassies have done specific studies for their education potential.
