I've been working for an investment firm in Bulgaria for last few years. I've heard EU citizens in the UK have to apply for EU Settlement Scheme to continue staying there. Do British citizens like me in EU countries like Belgium need to do anything until June 30?
You should have obtained a resident status by Dec. 31, 2020, under the EU terms after the Brexit. If you haven't, and if you now need to work and live in the EU without any obstacles, you might consider the revamped Bulgarian citizenship-by-investment program, which is now available to UK citizens.
